On behalf of the ISCRAM 2024 Conference Committee, we take great pleasure in inviting you to submit a
\nproposal for Workshops & Tutorials. We invite you to present and discuss ideas, methods and tools in an engaging workshop or tutorial together with an international and dedicated community of ISCRAM researchers and practitioners, all set against the backdrop of the charming city of M\u00fcnster!\n<\/p>\n

The workshop and tutorial-sessions will be co-chaired by Dr. Christoph Lamers, Johannes Ponge, & Prof. Jaziar Radianti<\/strong>. If you have any questions, please refer to <\/i> iscram2024@ercis.org<\/a>. <\/p>\n

WHAT & HOW TO SUBMIT?<\/h4>\n
  • Please prepare a short abstract (500 words) where you motivate the topic and describe what you are planning to do in the workshop\/tutorial. The abstract will be included in the conference proceedings. Furthermore, please add a statement about your experience with the topic and similar sessions.<\/li>\n
  • Schedule a workshop\/training course lasting about 2-4 hours. Ensure to incorporate breaks for the extended sessions. Longer sessions are also possible, but have to be consulted with the corresponding chair.<\/li>\n
  • Please use the Workshop Proposal Template and submit the proposal via email to iscram2024@ercis.org<\/a> by March 15th, 2024: <\/i> Template (Word)<\/strong><\/a>.<\/li>\n
  • If possible, it is recommended to relate your workshop or tutorial to the overall theme of this year\u2019s ISCRAM: \u201cTheme: Embracing the Crisis Management Lifecycle\u201d (see Conference Vision & Topic<\/strong><\/a>).<\/li>\n
  • As we strive to embrace the idea of \u201cpracademics\u201d, workshops and tutorials co-hosted by academics and practitioners are well appreciated.<\/li>\n
  • The workshops and tutorials usually take place on Sunday, May 26, 2024. Exceptions are possible, but require further consultation with the chairs.<\/li>\n

    POTENTIAL CONTRIBUTIONS<\/h4>\n

    The aim of the workshops and tutorials is to allow researchers, technologists, practitioners, and funding agency representatives, to interact, learn, and discuss<\/strong> specific, emerging topics for crisis management, including methodologies, software, and other related technologies<\/strong>. Possible contributions include the following (other ideas are also welcome):\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

  • Software tutorials used in crisis management or modelling<\/li>\n

    • 2.\tPractitioner-researcher task co-design and validation session<\/strong><\/td>\n\n
  • Personalized rapid prototyping and evaluation with the help of practitioners<\/li>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    • 3.\tDialogue between practitioners and researchers<\/strong><\/td>\n\n
  • Dialogue between practitioners and researchers on specific topics, focused on the information needs of responders in various scenarios<\/li>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    • 4.\tResearch grant accountability and practical research impact<\/strong><\/td>\n\n
  • Different government agencies interested in accountability and evaluation processes for research on crisis management<\/li>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
